Message:   If you decide to do that one of the hardest parts seems to be getting you materials to match the curved contour of the upper windshield frame. I learned a trick used in wooden boat restortion that helps.

Take a stick like a piece of lath as long as necesary, you'll know when you do it, and drill a pencil-sized hole thru the flat side close to one end. This is point A on the stick, opposite end of stick is point B.

Take a piece of heavy cardboard the full length or width of the area shape to be transferred. Attach it in place with tape, screws or whatever is appropriate as close as possible to the shape to be transferred. It may have to be supported with a stick or whatever. Now take your marking stick and put point B against the shape and drag it around the contours of the shape with the pencil tracing shape onto the carbdoard sort of long distance. Stick must always remain exactly perpindicular or pointing away at the same exact angle from shape while copying or else it won't be a true copy.

Cut out the shape on cardboard and check fit. You may have to make adjustments and you'll quickly see where the stick was not held exactly perpindicular to the traced surface. Easiest way to transfer the windshield frame contours or whatever you're trying to fit to.
