Message:   the sucking sound is most likly air in the lines still. they are a pain to bleed sometimes. on my 66, i bled it at each fitting point before getting all the air out. as far as the slave clearence. make sure its all the way in, then adjust the rod just touching the clutch fork. you should have a return spring from the clutch fork to the bell or a bracket by the slave. this will keep the bearing clearence needed and if the rod is adjusted to just touch the fork, it wont fall out.
