Message:   What are the factory colours for engines? I've seen most Polys and slant 6s are red, and the LA 318s I've seen both red and blue. Do the colours vary based on the engine number like if it's a 318-1 2 or 3? I've got a '68 318 that is blue, but the oil pan is red! I assume they switched it out at some point, but can't be sure. How would I tell if its a 318-1 like the door label says? The block says 318-15 after the serial #.

After I find what colour it should be, where do you get the factory (or close to) paint from? All I see in the stores is f*** blue or GM everything. Thanks!
