Message:   Our Durango trans slipped once also. Took it back but did not set any codes. Never has done it again. That rig has been outstanding. Now has 80,000 miles and literally all I have done besides change the oil is put front brakes on it. Still on the original tires even. I probably should give it a tune up one of these days though.

The new lift pump the diesels get is an in tank unit and the jury is still out on that one. Sounds like it has been better than the original block mounted Carter though.

Norm, read your warranty book. Mine states the Cummins 5 yr/100,000 mile warranty starts at the END of the Chrysler 3yr/36,000 mile warranty. More than one guy has been reimbursed for the VP44 failure after 5 years and 100,000 miles but you have to fight Chrylser to get it. Just an FYI.
