Message:   So, my next question is "where is the proof" that it was only on 383 trucks with air? There are several guys on Trey's forum that claim they've had or have '70/'71 trucks with the holes with 318 or even 225 engines, some w/o air. I'm trying to find proof that the holes mean one of several things - either 383, air, HD cooling, automatic, or some combination. I'm inclined to go with the 383 w/air theroy as I'd originally espoused over there on Trey's forum. I've also posted the identical question there.

Me, personally, have had several '71 trucks. The only ones I've had with the holes were 383 trucks w/air...
