Message:   As long as the frames are identical in size and thickness it should be fine. Check around the engine mounts on the diesel, I can't remember any differences there, but if there is extra fish plating on the '92, then copy that to the '75. Good move on using the '92 springs, the cummins will weigh about 400 lbs more than the gasser.

Your 3/4 ton front axle should be fine, however there were two ratings for the axle, 3,000 and 3,500 GVW, it may be noted upon the VIN tag.

Sounds like you had the typical weak hood springs on the Sweptline. It's an easy adjustment, but and confounding one..you actually shim the hinge in the opposite direction than seems logical, but it works.
