Message:   I once had a '77 Cordoba 400 w/Lean Burn. It never got very good mileage either. Once I figured out how it operated I thought it was a pretty good system. I would have to go get the FSM to even recall how it worked so I don't think I am much help in that deparmtent right now. I did have a 360 Plymouth wagon that did about the same thing with the miss. It did that for a loooong time before a buddy mentioned he had that same trouble on a slant. He ended up replacing the pickup in the distributor and that eliminated it. Tried same on the 360 and it ran smooooth as can be after that. Pickup checked out OK and that was why I never thought about replacing it. Sure took care of the problem though. Sounds like that might be yours also????
