Message:   The 540 has a 10 spline. 1.38" input shaft. (contrary to conventional thought, the large Dodge transmissions were not 1-1/4" they were 1.38", or closer to 1-5/16" than 1-1/4")
They came with both 12" and 13" clutches, so you can get just about any combination to work.
The question is, does the IH bolt pattern match and what is wrong with the 540?
The 540 is a very desired transmission.
If it needs a simple re-building DC Trucks may have the parts you need.
