I bought my Caliber from an "original charter" Dodge dealer, meaning that this dealer has been in business since 1914 and has been in the same building since 1920, meaning the pre-date Chrysler, Jeep and pre-dated Plymouth and DeSoto as well. The town they are in has 1,400 people in it. They also haven't lost track of why they are in business either. The original owner knew John and Horace Dodge!
This dealer is 175 miles away from me and I would buy my next Dodge from there without hesitation, and my girl-friend wants to buy her next vehicle there too.
The 5 star dealers around here all suck, it's about money and not about service and they act like they are doing me a favor to sell me something I don't want to buy, and it doesn't matter that they treat the customer like crap cause they will come back anyway
What Chrysler and all the others either don't realize or don't give a sh*t about is the reason their sales are lagging and the small dealers are "underperforming" is that the product is way overpriced and most people cannot afford a "new" vehicle every three years any more. I am sure my 07 Caliber will be the last brand new vehicle that I will buy.The almighty American Dollar isn't worth much anymore.
Just my 2 cents
