Message:   If it came from a 361 a WCFB should bolt on....
however, rejeting it if needed will be tough to
find parts...
By the late 50s when the 361 was intro there were
AFB's (AFB intro was 57), WCFB's were on the way out but were sometimes use into the 60s on small displacement engines......

Why would you need to make a plate? should be able to
buy a 1" spacer plate off the shelf that will work....
I run a edelbrock on my truck poly 4v castiron intake
with the 1" spacer, has the stud holes
for both the old small WCFB pattern and later square
bore pattern...... worse case just bore the holes
for the small pattern on the plate....
