Message:   Yes, twin WCFB carbs in 57 and 58 on the HP A318.
factory HP rate of 290. HP cam, bumped compression
to 9.2 to 1 and duel exhaust on a X pipe.

There are 3 ways to convert a poly 4v intake
to use a late square bore carb
easy way.... use the 1" spacer
harder...... die grind the edges to clear the butterflys
hardist..... have the holes rebored by a shop

all will work.....
When bolting up be sure to check to see
that the carb butterflys all move right
as missalinement can cause them to hang up.

500cfm is more than enough carb for a stock
truck 318, 600cfm and you may have tune/running
issues.....
The stock 4v carbs (WBFC's) were right around
400cfm and worked great on these engines...
If you priced a rebuilt WCFB, without a
core, today you will
go into price shock!
