Message:   Hey, Russ; no the other Russ; no, not that Russ, the other Russ, there now: Russ, is that the unit with the low voltage trickle 'tickler' charge to prevent batteries from sulfating? Can't remember what it's called but it's designed to remain connected even when battery has just been charged and protects battery. Supposed to be the best of all for your battery's health.

Also on my batteries I never wrench tighten the positive cable. I grease up the stud some and tighten lug tight, then back off the nut on cable end. That way it comes off instantly in electrical fire, or I can remove if truck is parked for awhile. Haven't had any discharge failures on any of my trucks doing that and sure handy when sparks are flying and smoke is billowing!
