Message:		That's by far the best idea, Norm, except for one thing: no clue what other heads will fit. Fel-Pro gasket HS 7391 S-4 fits correctly. Application was for '43-'55 3.7L 228ci straight six. No other common GM or Choveme engines were listed, like 216, 235, 292 etc. in the gasket applications, just other weirdos. You just made it simpler though. He has another engine, 235ci Chove, and I'll see if the gasket matches that head. From there some putty on pistons and drop head on 228ci and check valve clearance. Just could be that it's the same head as you suggest on aftermarket! Thanks!
