Message:   Hmmmm, how much gap is there? Possibly have a collar machined to press onto the hub to take up the space. Or bushings for the studs perhaps. I think that the collar would be a better solution, though I'm not sure exactly how to keep it in place.

Are some of the hubs bigger? The Classic Trucks article shows them turning them down. You might find a different set of hubs that would work.
