Subject:   Flexplate Torque converter question

Message:   As you know or remember I stripped out the holes on my torque converter. I drilled them out and tapped them bigger. Being that the mounting tangs are welded to it already, I have a blind hole making it impossible for me to get the tap or drill bit all the way to the bottom. My question is, when I tighten the flex plate to the converter, is the flexplate supposed to be flush up against the mouting tangs? Can I put a spacer in there? Thanks in advance.

Gary
