Message:   Mahindra builds a solid vehicle. I know two guys locally that have their farm tractors, and both say they are the best they've ever owned. One of the guys has been ranching for nearly 50 years! Mahindra has been building the CJ-3B high-hood Willys Jeep under license for nearly 50 years. This may not be a bad deal. They've also built medium and heavy trucks for sale on the Indian sub-continent since the early '50s.

Assuming they keep Jeep in the US, at least a domestically-built and designed product like now, then it would be a good deal, IMO. But if they ship factories overseas and build in India for export to the US, that would not be such a good deal.

It will be interesting to see how this transpires. At least it is not the Chinese government and one of their state-owned enterprises!
