Message:   My 65 D100 came factory with frame reinforcement and an extra set of helper springs in the back. This was before camper specials, I believe this was ordered that way for a camper or for the purpose of towing. Why did they beef up a half ton instead of buying a 3/4 ton? Possibly because cost of plates was cheaper. My truck also came with 16.5 rims with 5 lug, 4.5 inch bolt pattern. All on a D100. Kind of neat, dont you think?
