Message:   Not withstanding the errors in that article, Chrysler is still number three, just behind number two Toyota and ahead of number 4 Ford, and pulling away, the Company is on firm footing except for design decisions made in Germany. The poor performing Durango, Pacifica and Commander are due to piss poor designs, not anything else. The truth is the majority of new Chrysler designs are butt ugly. After leading the automotive world in design, all through the 90's, all of a sudden Chrysler has ignorantly decided to design ghetto cars. Aimed at fewer than 10% of the population, what's with that?
FYI, I lived through the 70's and this is NOTHING like that, gas prices are lower when adjusted for inflation, interest rates in the 70's were 21%, they are under 6% now. There is little unemployment, near 5% which is nearly full employment with anyone that wants to work and has the education, working. That's why you see so many illegals coming here, plentiful jobs. It's time to start throwing employers, who hire illegals, into jail.
Kerkorian has give up on Chrysler and he is now courting gm, he sold most all of his stock and bought gm stock, Chrysler stock is UP, gm stock is down, so how'd that work out for him?
Now if Bob Lutz wanted to buy Chrysler, that would be a good thing, but it would be hard to accept Chrysler as a part of gm.
