Message:   Gary, with age one does it differently. When I go, some lucky person is going to get,.. a miniture
cable/rope pulley hooked to a partial body suit. One end hooks to a rod which is 49 inches long.
The main rod goes from the fire wall to the hood latch. It has a fold out support rod which goes
from the hood latch to the radiator support. The hook for the cable end is near the the hood latch.

(Main rod "w" hook incorporates a worm gear for moving the hook)

The fold out rod going to radiator gives the support needed to keep the hood up while it allows
for the remote operated mini winch to lift my 250 pound body.

This is especially useful for changing distributors as well as changing out sending units.
I have also used it for finding vacuum leaks with propane bottle while the engine is idling.
(That’s a little scary though)

Another short article forthcoming in January 2025. That article will describe my fiberglass
coveralls with fan and implanted wheels. It is also remote operated and battery driven. These
coveralls utilize some engineering taken from my Craftmatic bed.
The coveralls work fine for finding oil leaks, changing transmissions, changing mufflers etc. I have had no problem "welding while wearing". For safety reasons I drink a lot of water before I put them on. (I hook my mini do-hinky to my mini sprinkler of course.) I suppose that could be a little salty in the event of fire.

When I go back to racing my pit crew, (now aging) will wear these during anything over 50 laps.

I gotta go to work now,.... Honey, I will be wearing my coveralls,.... and now I can't find my mini do-hinky. Gordo
