Message:   When needed [as in usually needed] a slid-hammer puller is the best answer. Studs are pressed into drums on that rear so the slide-hammer has a web foot with elongated hole/slots to fit over studs on drum: wham, slam, bam, thank'ya ma'am!

Harbor Fart used to sell a piece of junk Chinese made puller kit that may last long enough to get both drums off. Best by far to jack up entire rear, turn wheels so axle/drum keyway is facing up, squirt in copious quantities of PB Blaster over several days letting it really soak in.

Sometimes heat is needed to warm up the drum center causing it to expand then slide-hammer if off before it cools. Don't want to heat so much that it heats axle also or you defeat the purpose. If that doesn't work then while it's still fairly warm shoot in some more PB Blaster and let it soak another night and slam it off in the morning.

No, you can't just pull the axles and have drums pressed off because they're held on with a flange behind drum.

Another method is to bet somebody $100 that they can't get the drums off without ruining the axles. If they get them off that was cheap, if they don't then the $100 might be enough to get some used axles.
