Open tail gate,and remove support arms on each side.Then lift the tailgate as if closing but only go half way or a 45 degree angle.Pull up on the right side(passenger side) and it should pull out then slide it to the right to clear other support.You might have to play with the angle on the right to get the two flat spots on the round tube to line up,the left side has only a round tube and to clear it must slide to the right.Good luck,what was the question again?
