Message:		I had a '72 Hornet 232/auto 4dr. and one of the most reliable cars I ever owned. Got a '75 Hornet 258/auto and it had about 1/2 the power, wouldn't respond to treatment and always moaned for attention. The later Pacers had a strange electronic distributor gizmo that was a horror story for failures, best to toss it as far as it will fly. I know the 232/258 were used as Jeep motors and for my money the 232 was much beter overall, and ridiculous reliable. Loaned my car to an ex and she used it for over 3 years. Got it back and asked her when was the last oil change & tuneup. Got that blank stare, of course I got a lot of those from her anyway but long story short: it ran just as good as the freshly tuned up and serviced car I gave her! I'd buy another in a heartbeat if I ever found one, economical too! Funny, but it had great traction in slush.
