Message:   The original article also said that they would not confirm or deny that talks had taken place, however the same article said that talks had been going on for over a month and that they would continue on an informal basis. Talks with Renault and Nissan continue at the same time.
I think Chrysler can get it's act together and remain independent, however if the choice was merge with a foreign auto maker vs. merge with GM, I'd take GM.


said that, a merger with ANY American maker would most likely mean the end of Dodge Trucks and more than likely Chrysler autos.
You can't build a company on the Challenger, 300, Charger, Caravan and Jeep only and the 300,000 sales per year of Dodge Truck would be redundant to Ford or GM....Chrysler brand doesn't sell enough vehicles on it's own to be worth much, Daimler did so much harm to the Chrysler and Jeep brands that it's criminal.
