This make no sense as the deal reportedly has Cerberus giving Chrysler to GM i exchange for the 51% of GMAC that Cerberus doesn't currently own (they own the other 49%).
The GMAC operations are hemorrhaging cash and Chrysler made 1 billion dollars last quarter, it doesn't make sense?
What would GM do with Dodge Trucks? It would appear that GM would only be interested in Jeep as Chrysler and Dodge offer little new that GM doesn't already build, except for ENVI, which is building the electric cars.
It seems that there would be too much dealer network, too much product overlap and too little profit at Chrysler for this to make sense??? This would most likely be the end of Chrysler and Dodge.
