Well, Mike, the easiest way to find parts is to source them as if for a Dodge truck or passenger car, I think 1957 to 1966.
Plymouth, Dodge passenger cars, Dodge & Fargo trucks all used the engine. Main thing is to deal with an experienced parts man that has some knowledge of Chrysler products. To a Chevy guy a 318 is a 318, nt having a clue of the difference between Poly motors and LA motors.
If parts sourced are for a '65 318 and no later then they must be Poly, not LA, because LA didn't exist in '65. No other manufacturer used the engine to an extent that their brand would be a better way to source parts.
Main difference is there was a solid lifter engine and hydraulic lifter engine, and some 4bbl and some 3-2's. |
