"Dear Mr. Ashley,
Thank you for contacting AT&T Internet Service Email Support. I am sorry
for the issue you have been experiencing. Based on the information you
have provided, it seems the issue is due to unable to receive email from
www.powerwagonadvertiser.com.
Spam Blacklist removal - If they have been added to the national
blacklist, then you will have to forward the entire e-mail that was
sent to you with the companies pertinent information to
thisisgood@bellsouth.net for submission to the national blacklist
from your ISP provider. The domain will then be reviewed and depending
on circumstances will either be removed or denied depending on spam
criteria.
Keep in mind, if someone sends you an e-mail saying that your ISP has
blocked them, it is most likely because the national blacklist that
not only AT&T but other ISP's subscribe to, placed it on there because
of numerous complaints by many individuals and dozens of ISP's.
It has been my pleasure helping you today Mr. Ashley. Again, thank you
for this opportunity to address your concerns. Help is just a click
away! Solutions to common technical problems, answers to frequently
asked questions, and real-time chat with a AT&T eAgent are all available
online at http://support.att.net.
Sincerely,
M. Peters

Attempting to sign up with a forum that auto-generates an email that I
must respond to to complete the registration. I cannot receive this
email after several tries from the site owner. I never get any
indication that it is being sent to me. It never shows up in my inbox or
in my spam folder. I use Outlook Express, with McAfee spam filter but I
do not block any mail. The site I'm trying to receive from is
www.powerwagonadvertiser.com. Can you help me with this?
Thanks."
I guess someone over in India just said send him the standard reply and maybe he will go away. Obviously the PWA site isn't on some national blacklist so this is of no value to me and has nothing to do with the solution to the problem. Sad, but this is what most tech support has de-generated to. Send them a canned answer from some FAQ database. |
