Message:   i agree with most of what was said about britt on this post and some of the comments on the earlier thread.

in my opinion he is a good guy that doesn't always hit the nail on the head.

a couple years back i needed a cab for my 64 D100 HPP truck and britt posted he had one for sale - $400. shipping cost me a couple tics over $800 (i can't remember the exact ammount now).

i specifically asked Britt if the cab would fit my application - a 1964 D100 with small back window. bitt assured me it would and that it was rust free.

the cab arrived 3 weeks later after shelling out $1200+. the cab is very solid with two dime size rust holes in the dash side of the cowl. however, to my dismay it was not going to fit my application and to make matters worse it wasn't even a fridge style cab which means that it had push button doors. this REQUIRED MAJOR modifications.

Butch is correct - i was heart broken to say the least. i notified Britt and his statement was something to the effect of fix it or move on. with $1200+ invested i had little options. i modified that cab with parts from my old cab to correct the strikers and the transmission tunnel. Terry sent me the steel i needed to fix the floors to change it from 300 to 100/200.

i feel i am partially to blame on this because i could have easily asked for more pics or asked brit to clean out the cab to show more dtails of what i was purchasing.

i have moved on but if i buy parts from Britt i always ask 20 questions and lots photos.

i have bought a couple other parts from Britt since our cab deal and have been reasonably pleased but still remain wary.

the dodge link shows the differences between the cabs -

this link below shows what i had to do to fix the cab -

i have well over 30 hours of fabrication labor in it to correct the 300 cab. it is not perfect but only to a trained eye will see the difference now... there's also a subtle difference in the steering column mount.
