Message:		Went over to a friend's yesterday and took a close look at his '68 D-300. This truck was ordered and purchased new by a Dodge dealership for their Service Department truck! Fabulous Holmes wrecker bed, diamond plate and just gorgeous. The truck was of course maintained by dealer mechanics with all original parts installed to Mopar specs. It's one of the nicest survivors I've ever laid eyes on!! Every single detail is factory original right down to the single Pentastar on right front fender. It would be nice if it was kept as a reference original, but will be getting a 440 in place of the 318-3. May be converted to a car hauler body. Even then it will be one beautiful Dodge. So anyway, just mentioning what fun it was to inspect and compare and enjoy his truck....
