Original used in the Royal Australian Airforce in the late 1950s and 1960s. Frame number is stamped on the left frame rail just above the rear bracket of the front spring. The bed style is a locally built one with five square pockets and the whole thing is about 11 inches wider than a US bed. The DODGE name embossed into the tailgate is different from the US style ( see pic ). This bed is actually pretty badly engineered and there is insufficient clearance to the tires. I have the remains of an old second series bed and will do a bit of hybrid job eventually. Some other local bits of equally poor quality are a tiny gas tank and positive earth English Lucas electricals. Also, many of the bolts on the truck are local AJAX fasteners which seem to rust easily.
