I am told by previous owner that this truck was once owned by the Maine Forestry Service - I am not able to find any records confirming this. I understand that at some point the Forestry Service swapped out the 6cyl for the 327 Chevy small block that now sits in it - and I will say, looks pretty good all cleaned up and runs perfect!! The frame is in great shape and the body has had some work done and more currently underway. If someone can tell me why this is so: The tag from the the drivers side door frame says C3-PW6-126, yet when I put in the serial number from that very same tag, it comes up C4-PW6-126. I read somewhere that this did occur at some point, but don't fully understand why. I would appreciate any information someone can provide.
