It appears that this truck started out as a navy ambulance as I have a data plate on the glove box with navy numbers on it. At some point in its life it was converted to a brush truck for the local Volunteer department that I am a member of. This truck was sold off when I was young and up until recently was used as a woods truck. I saw the truck in the driveway across from my house and asked the guy about it. He was working on it for a friend of his. The truck wasn't for sale yet it sits in my yard at the beginning of a restoration. Still runs like a top.
