The person who owned this truck just recently passed away in early 2006. He was a Marine War Hero, he recieved the Navy Cross. He started out as a grunt, then onto UDT Recon (under water demolition). At the burial Al Grey attended, he is the 29th Commondant of the Marine Corp. The owner was buried at Arlington Cemetery with a twenty one gun salute. He purchased this truck new December 22, 1959. The family has hired me to restore it back to like new condition. They plan to keep it in the family and pass it down to the younger generations in the family. In cleaning out the glove box I found the original paper work from the day he picked it up along with a ledger of just about every tank of gas that was ever put in it, along with all the maintenance records. Wow, really interesting to see the life of this Power Wagon in a book. The paint shows it was delivered Dodge White, but not sure if it was a special order or what. Information shows that this truck should be equipped with a 251 engine, it has a 230 engine. The son who I am working with told me that his Dad pulled a 35'and a 50'house trailer from Los Angeles to Bend Oregon with this Power Wagon, what a road trip!! I will ad more info to this story as it comes in. Thanks for reading. Steven Fowler
