I need to rephrase my post, I am not going on mission to Iraq. I have 5 tons of training to complete locally and in North Carolina. This is the 1st phase of about 18 months of training. Supposedly this phase is the hardest part, where most soldiers drop out. Theres a 80% failure rate here.
By the time I am ready to go to Iraq, I will show up there in a Hawiian shirt and flip flops and be saying:
"Hey guys.... What's that smell???"
As far as military vehicles go, the only thing I'm going to be driving is a pair of combat boots and a 65 lb rucksack. If I ever have to ride in A military vehicle it will be because I was injured, of dropped from training.
Thank you all for your support and words of encouragement though. This is the hardest thing I have ever done because I am 30 years old and have have to leave my beautifull wife and 27 month old son, for a 60% cut in pay. Most of the other guys are single and 10 years younger than me, basicly living out of the back of thier truck. But when I hear all the kind words and support, I know that I'm doing the right thing for my family and my country.
