I've rebuilt the carb (w/ kit), taken it apart and cleaned it a dozen times, put it back together using my shop manual so as to be sure all parts were there and in the correct place, new air cleaner, new points and condenser, checked all plugs, inspected the wires, cap and rotor.....
sometimes the thing runs pretty good, sometimes it runs REAL bad, miss'n, spitin, sputterin, so I'll adjust the low speed mixture screw and it runs better, then the next time I drive it, it's runnin like crap again, so I'll adjust the screw back to where it was.......untill the next time.....either way, if the truck is not 100% warmed up, don't even think about driving it...., working the choke (manual) makes things worse.....PLEASE HELP !!!, could it be a weak coil or fuel pump ??(I cleaned the sediment bowl, blew air thru the fuel lines, and have set the float 12 times)
