I bought home a(nother) W300 this past weekend, that had a very unusual set of tires - military non-directionals similar to 9.00x16.0s, they are 10.50x16.0s and are taller, near same size as Michelin 11R16s.
What were these used on in the military?
Also, I have noticed that 7 1/4 6 lug dual wheels come with two different offsets, according to how many vent holes are in the wheel center - 3 hole type allow about 3/4 inch space between tires, while the 6 hole type allow about 2" between tires. I want the 6 hole type to dual up Michelins, using a big ring outer - weld them together. I noticed that the W300 using 10.50s has two dual rims - small ring, with no apparent problems. Like someone recenlty replied - the tire does not know the difference.
