the truck i bought had the transmission out due to a gear chipped they said. i broght back the trans out of the parts truck but had to leave the origianl until im able to go back and get the parts truck, anyway the '61 should have a NP420? correct?
my question is what is the iD# of the trans, used before 1955 as it says under notable changes that in 1955 they went to a Synchromesh transmission so is this where the NP420 Starts at? also will a tras from a 54 or down powerwagon bolt to the bellhousing in the '61 i have afew of these, and not going back to get the other parts for a few weeks, cant stand to see the truck just setting there. Thanks
