I use Endura Epoxy which is a self etching phosphate Hi-build Epoxy. No acid etching required. Ask your paint supplier, but I'd use a self etching primer if it were me. If your fenders & hood are damage & dent free, you might be better without the Hi-build....more block sanding involved with the Hi-building primers.
