It sounds like a project that would require a lot of effort. I'm sure there are other trucks out there but the price is low. Although for what you have written, I doubt he will be able to sell it, except for scrap. Perhaps let him sit on it for a month or two, and offer him less. I would assume the worst, such as the engine needing a overhaul. I'd go for $1000.00. My 2 Cents
