I use #20/30 Silica sand for 6.95 per 100 pounds. The #70 is finer but works slower but leaves a nice surface on the metal. I got my attachment from Northern Tool, not sure if they still have them the Item # is 2260-B970 for $49.99 at www.northerntool.com
Just about any can will work depending on what you are doing with it. The sand can be bought at the Hardware store. Haven't tried other types of media yet thru it but the hose will suck just about anything that will fit thru the 3/16 inch tip the mixture comes out. Mark H.
