T-case info

Allen, the kit you posted looks good. But how much time and what kind of tools do you think we'll need to press on all those new bearings??? Not including how much is a new chain??? The most technical things I've currently rebuilt include carburator, dashboard wiring, engine harness wiring, parts of engine, and a complete front end overhaul.

I contacted Aamco and for $350 they said they can overhaul it and get it back to me in 3 days. Now he said chain replacement and not specifically any bearings so we'll see when I talk to him about specific things. I will know more after I can get under the truck (as soon as all the snow melts!)

A new rebuilt 203 case is $450 from National Trans a dist downtown.

Same with the 435 4-speed tranny (I need a third gear synchro/bearing - $900 to repair...). A new shift tower is $70. Might as well get it all while I'm in there. It's a lot of work, and might as well get it right the first time!
