You know, you are being arrogantly condesending for someone who hasn't actually seen the case. It may well be a sloppy chain, but neither you or I can tell that from our keyboards can we? Rather than be in such a rush to spend his money, he ought to try the linkage adjustment first, then if that fails he can spend money on the chain, in fact if you were not in such a hurry to critize, you could have read that in my post, a post in which I gave as much credence to your theory as I did mine.
And,..as far as expertise, I have more likely than not been driving and racing offroad longer than you have been alive.
That being said, remember that we are dealing with educated guesses here, it is better left to the person with the problem to inform us later as to what was wrong.
