Help Identifying Tranny

Hi, I just located and purchased this tranny for my PW, but when I opened found out they're different in the inside as the new one has synchro and the older doesnt (and other differences too). I suspect the new one is a NP420 and I'll have to modify my truck to fit it, so if I'm right please let me know what can I do to fit it. Thanks!!.
