How can you do that when the pump gear is driven by the camshaft? This engine has the distributer driven by the pump and the pump is geared directly to the cam shaft and can not be spun unless it is turned. My bearings are not dry they have assembly lube put on them when it was put together and so dose the cam lobes these parts were all coated and then assembled. The block cylinder walls were coated with oil on both sides of the pistons befor I put the pan on and spark plugs in. Mark H.
