It is a powder that is put inside the tire, 8-10 oz. per tire for a big tire like ours, as I understand it. The powder goes around with the tire and somehow fills in the light spots or something, balancing the tire. You have to be careful to use dry air in your tires so the Equal doesn't clump up. Other than that it seems to be pretty foolproof. Check with a semi-truck tire place near you, that's what it was developed for.
