I agree that lots of comments are redundant, and would be better left unposted, for that reason. I do think sometimes we all need to let everyone else know that we know something. There's an old saying, something like: "Better to be quiet and thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." I try to remember this, but it doesn't always work. Good point.
