folks have been glueing down the ends of the intake with r.t.v. for years especialy shops. it is a common practice to use silicone on the ends. use the red or black beacus the blue is mostly used on waterpumps and stuff.i once could not get a intake off for the life of me til i took a razor and cut the bead of sealer out of the intake then it popped right off. good leakfree stuff.
