Pictures from the owner manual, repair manuals show it both ways. There is a cut-out section of the cab to clear that shaft, but when mounted the way you have it, it will not clear that section when insulators sag over time, or when your on a buncy road, the cab will periodically hit that shaft the way you have it. If you reverse it, it will have sufficient clearance. (AGAIN, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FROM THE WORN AREA ON MY CAB WHERE IT HIT THE SHAFT THE WAY YOU HAVE IT MOUNTED). It will work fine mounted either way, but the way I am recommending, you won't have a problem with the cab hitting it.
