It sounds like you had something going on there before that was not the starter. Something that is causing way too much friction, like a broken ring wedged against the piston or a galled bearing? Hopefully you may just have a cylinder rusted shut, it will be the one with the open exhaust valve. If you know the firing order you can pull the distributor cap and see which cylinder just fired when you last shut it off, that cylinders' exhaust valve should just be opening, or the one previous cylinders exhaust valve may still be open. Pull the spark plugs and squirt some Marvel mystery oil in there and let it soak for about 24 hours,(may as well soak all 6) then try to turn the engine over using a breaker bar on the crank pully, with the spark plugs out. Turn it clockwise, so that you do not loosen the crank bolt! Do not force it! Make sure that you are in neutral in both the tranny and t-case, your clutch (manual trans??) may be rusted to the flywheel also.
