A few years ago, 10:30pm, I looked out the kitchen window into the night as I heard motors racing and saw two sets of tail light side by side. I estimated they were doing at least 90MPH in a 45 zone and the need to win was too great for these drivers to remember that the road curves slightly and ends in lees than 1/8 mile.
The race ended when the gaurd rail stop them. There was a third car trying to keep up.
Luckily, no one was hurt, and yes the cops were right down the street and heard the crash.
The kid were from the town and should have known the road ends. Their adrenaline was too high.
