paul,i read your post below and thought i would share this with you. lawson products now makes a grade bolt that is close to gade 8 .i think it is in between 6&7 closer to 7 i think.i purchased a complete deal 1/4 to 1/2 in sizes they are called tuff tork.very good bolts. im not to fond of using grade 5 i just dont like them as well as these. the big problem with them is they have a fatter head (thicker).if i have acsess to keep buying them as needed i will not change only to a higher grade.i have heard they make a grade 9 .
